The Mitra Lab combines widescale neuroimaging and brain stimulation to explore how macroscale brain networks generate cognition. Our research aims to establish causal links between the function of large brain networks and specific cognitive operations, with the ultimate goal of developing novel psychiatric treatments. In the first video, a mouse searches for a hidden reward in virtual reality, with widefield calcium imaging in the second video showing activity across the entire cortex.
